He graduated with great honours from the Jazzstudio in Antwerp and continued his studies in jazz piano at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and Ghent, obtaining a degree in Performing Arts – Jazz with distinction. During his artistic development, he was mentored by the renowned Belgian pianist Jef Neve, whose guidance further shaped his approach to musical structure and interpretation. His academic foundation, combined with mentorship from established musicians, shaped his development as both composer and performer. His training informs a practice in which compositional thinking and live interpretation remain closely connected.
